2024-12-05
In the early morning of December 6th, Beijing time, the 2025 Club World Cup group draw ceremony was held in Miami. The draw results show that Miami International is in the same group as Porto, Manchester City is in the same group as Juventus, and Real Madrid faces Riyadh Crescent. The opening match will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 15, 2025, with Miami International and the Egyptian team Cairo National.
As the first Club World Cup after the reform, the 2025 Club World Cup will be held in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025. A total of 32 teams will participate, divided into 8 groups, and the top two teams in each group will advance. The event will be held in 12 venues in 11 cities in the United States.
In an interview with the media earlier, FIFA President Infantino said: "We must create a global event, not just a competition that only a few players and clubs in a very small number of countries (regions) can participate in. The Club World Cup opens its doors to clubs around the world to showcase their brands and help their players and teams become better." In Infantino's plan, the new version of the Club World Cup carries the vision of "making football truly global."
